It was boredom that got Lee Ryan in to it in the first place. His train out of Chicago for the west coast was moving slow with further delays expected because of the snowstorms ahead. Yes he was bored and impatient. His last business venture in Chicago hadn’t paid off too well and he looked forward to his arrival in California and the prospect of a deal worthy of his talent.
