One of the most colourful chapters of the old west was the story of the big cattle drives. Before the railroads and the highways opened up the country all cattle were rounded up and driven hundreds of miles over dusty trails to market or to the railhead. It was on one of these trips that United States Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles ran in to the adventure of the gunman’s brand.
