Grover Cleveland was the 22nd President of the United States of America and served in the White House from 1885 – 1889. This story happened in 1885 when Cleveland’s controversy with the Austro-Hungarian empire over the appointment of A M Kiley as ambassador was one of the early and important examples of American championship of tolerance against the poison if intolerance that many years later helped bring Europe to such a bitter state
