Mousey Grey explains to Lum about the diet his wife Gussy is on. Abner is mad about the court summons Squire Skimp has serve upon them. Then Grandpappy Speers decides he is going to sue the old fellows for the pearl which he believes belongs to him. However Doc tries to explain to Grandpap that friendship is worth more than the thousand dollars the pearl is worth and what good is all that money with no friends. Grandpap agrees he'll never find two better friends that Lum and Abner. Can Doc persuade him not to sue?
