The conversation in the parked car matched the surroundings low, quiet and honest in keeping with the isolated low-lying strip of marsh and dark trees some miles from any main thoroughfare. The driver of the car didn’t look at his companion as he spoke he was staring at the gun in his hand a black cold automatic. He kept turning it over as if something were very strange and unfamiliar to him, something he wasn’t sure he could use.
