George Fenneman opens the show after the commericals, introducing Dean Martin as the Master of Ceremonies. Whilst they're waiting for Jerry Lewis to join them, he begins by singing If I Could Sing Like Bing. Once Jerry arrives, he gives Dean a telegram to read, which informs him that his uncle just passed away, but that he inherited 3 million dollars... It's a shame it's not Jerry's telegram!
