When the great Gildersleeve’s neighbor Ronson Bullard tells him that he might adopt the baby as a tax exemption Gildy turns to his friend Judge Hooker for help. The Judge says he doubts if he can help and reiterates that Gildy needs to be married and then tells him he doesn’t accept his proposal! Oh dear getting married seems a bit drastic but it looks as though Gildy is going to have to pluck up the courage to propose to Adeline if he wants to keep the baby.
