On his way to the country village of Little Bend to get the criminal record of Butch Heathers on trial for murder Boston Blackie gives a lift to a girl who says she is Florence Newton. Later it turns out that Florence Newton has been dead for over three years. Boston is star witness in the trial against Butch Heathers because he say Butch commit the crime but the defence attorney wins an acquittal for Butch on the grounds that a man who sees a ghost can see a lot of things that don’t exist.
