Throckmorton Gildersleeve is in a dilemma. After employing his secretary Bessie’s cousin Gildy has realized how inefficient Bessie is and now wants to fire her. However his good nature is making it hard for him to do this though he knows it is the right thing to do. But he needn’t have worried as Bessie is wanting to quit to get married and she is worrying about letting Gildy down if she quits!
