Phil Green is a journalist who has been commissioned to write an article on anti-Semitism for the Smiths Weekly Magazine based in New York. He decides that the only way to experience being Jewish is live as a Jewish person for six weeks. The anti-Semitism he experiences at first hand is an eye-opener and even the people closest to him are forced to question their feelings.
