Sometimes the trouble begins out of sheer frustration. The need for excitement, the need to blow off steam can cause a man’s mind to work in devious ways. There’s the thrill hold-up, the beating administered more to the world at large than to the immediate victim, the theft for the sake of the dare it represents. With Nick Segaden it was the lighted match, the licking flame and of course the roar and scream of the fire engines when racing through the city streets.
