Producer-director Jerry Devine was given access to FBI files by J Edgar Hoover, and the resulting dramatizations of FBI cases were narrated by Frank Lovejoy (1945), Dean Carlton (1946-1947) and William Woodson (1948-1953).

In the years when atomic power could be first used for peaceful purposes, some men were delving in to the scientific unknown, whilst others remained on a more selfish course, benefiting no-one but themselves.
