Much has been written concerning the flowering of New England. By this of course is meant the intellectual, spiritual and literary heritage of that section of our country, which is justly hailed as the cradle of our culture. But New England was also the birthplace of our factories and forges. Indeed at one time, she was the gunsmith to our nation.
