As the two hunters made their way along the base of the canyon neither was aware of the figure standing well hidden in the trees on the ridge above them. When Gordon Weller reached the small creek he turned and looked back at his friend Doctor Perryman puffing up the hill behind him. Gordon grinned and stepped his way across the creek and started up the mountain. As he circled a huge boulder and came in to a clearing a shot was fired which narrowly missed him as he stumbled. Gordon told Dr. Perryman not to fuss as it was just an accident, a bad fire from another hunter, but Gordon knew that it was really another attempt on his life…
