September 17th dawned just like any other day in the town of Martin's Gap. The barber whistled a tune, and flies droned lazily around his shop, as Kit Jones gave the Sheriff his morning shave. Down the road, Pete Porter and his life setup type for his weekly newspaper, and nearby in a small, neat building, Martha Stevens hummed as she swept the floor of her restaurant.
