Chuck Morgan was beginning to think that his reputation might be at risk if he didn’t pull off some kind of scoop soon. Then arriving at his apartment on Friday night looking forward to a nightcap and his bed he discovers a good-looking gal in his apartment with a favor to ask for a friend. Her name is Queenie O’Rourke and she informs him that he was with her last Friday night and then leaves him an envelope to open after she has left with a warning not to be sucker enough to get any ideas. When Chuck opens the envelope $10,000 in $100 notes falls out. What could have happened last Friday, some incident that made it worth $10,000 to Queenie for an alibi?
