Special Inspector Nayland Smith has been recalled from Burma to try to apprehend the evil Dr Fu Manchu. Smith discovers a clue to the whereabouts of Fu Manchu, who has meanwhile cleverly trapped Dr James Petrie, Nayland Smith's friend and associate.
