The Yankees were having a tough season and after one particularly bad game Dusty started a fight that resulted in Sanbourne, one of the pitchers, injuring his arm so badly that he would be out of action for a month. When coach found out he was livid and wanted to know who had been involved and Babe stepped in and said it was himself. The rest of the players thought he was crazy.
