One hundred years ago, thirty eight Jewish immigrants met on New York's lower east side to found a Temple of God. This is the story of one of those thirty eight - one who fled the black night of German persecution in the first half of the nineteenth century. This story is dedicated to six young men of Temple Emanu-El who gave their lives in the struggle against German fascism.
