This is the story of how Swedish man Alfred Noble harnessed nitro glycerine with gunpowder to create dynamite for blasting out mines and the way for railroads and how later in life paradoxically he creates the Noble Peace Prize to keep his memory alive for years to come. He leaves his estate with the stipulation that the interest should be awarded annually to those persons who through the previous year have rendered the greatest service to mankind to the ultimate cause of peace.
