Dynamite was a cat. He wasn't a beautiful cat except to his owner, old Tim Riley. To Tim who had raised him from a kitten Dynamites many battle scars were medals of honor and Tim used to brag that Dynamite could whip anything in the Yukon not more than four times his weight. However, Tim's wife Molly did not share his love for the beast. Sergeant Preston calls on the Riley's and tells them that a shipment of valuable furs have been stolen and that the perpetrators may be lying low in the area. Dynamite leads Tim in to a cave when he chases a rabbit and he discover the stolen furs within.
