Wess Singer was spoiling for a gunfight with Britt Ponsett after shooting off his mouth to his pals telling them how he could outshoot any man in the state. One of the boys who was listening brought up Ponsett’s name, the Six-shooter and saying he bet he could teach him a few things about slapping leather. And now Wess was after backing up his bragging but he never reckoned that he might get killed himself.
