Mr Everet Sweety was arrested five blocks away from Dr Simpson’s house at four o’clock in the morning after Dr Simpson had been killed at around 3.30am. Mr Sweety had also been seen hanging around the neighbourhood the previous afternoon by Dr Simpson’s servant. Dr Simpson had performed surgery on the man’s wife who had later died of her cancer and Sweety had not really got over it. The police suspect that he may have held the doctor responsible for her death and killed him in revenge.
