Mrs Winford is on the phone to her bank when the teller Mr Vance has to put her on hold while he attends a customer. However Mrs Winford hears the bank being held-up and when Mr Vance is ordered to hang the phone up Mrs Winford phones to report the hold-up right away. Texas Ranger Jace Pearson is called in to help on the case and his first lead comes when one of the $20 bills in a bundle of marked notes that Mr Vance kept in his till in case of a hold-up, turns up.
