The distinguished master of mystery and adventure William N Robeson leads Suspense in to its 15th season on the air.

It’s little Valerie’s 7th birthday tomorrow and her father has forgotten. He never used to forget until Paula came to live with them. But Paula has remembered thanks to her little black book and she has bought Valerie a doll. The doll has long blond hair like her mother had and a real life beating heart that can be wound up when it stops. She calls the doll Henny like her mother and keeps it with her at all times making sure that her heart beat never stops like her mother’s did. Valerie feels as if her life depends on keeping the doll’s heart beating.
