The only thing Julie wants for Christmas is a dog even if it isn't exactly like her old dog, which got run over, a dog is all she wants. Later on Christmas Eve when she is out playing with Tim a parachute capsule from space lands near them and when they investigate they discover a little dog, which Julie decides to keep. However the authorities have put a search out for the injured dog.
