Young Pake Sutter had been told his father to stay away from Jason Rowl so when he caught him riding in to town with Rowl Sutter beat his son. Rowl was a good guy and the only thing Sutter had against him was that he liked to read books. It seemed that somewhere deep inside of him Leif Sutter was scared of Rowl and Rowl knew that the worst kind of enemy you could have was a man that was scared of you.
