Two policemen in a police patrol car in Johannesburg, South Africa give chase to a speeding car driving erratically. When they get him to stop he appears to be inebriated. He tells them his name is David Berrington and that he's a farmer. They lock him up for the night as he is too drunk to drive. He has a large roll of banknotes which he says he has earned from his hobby but he's not saying what it is. Then they also find a large uncut diamond on him in a match box which he says he found in the river on his farm. The police don't believe his story.
