The stagecoach from Selton quaked and swayed along the trail to Delville. Dan Reid, the fourteen-year-old nephew of the Lone Ranger had entered the coach at Selton, and the only other passengers were an old man, and a sweet-faced little old lady. Dan's eyes were caught by those of the little old lady, who smiled and spoke to him. They couldn't help but take their eyes from him, as he reminded them of their own boy, Tom, who will be twenty-five next month, but the last time they saw him was when he was about Dan's age.
