Anton Gitano has come to stay with Blake and Beatrice Cutler, and their daughters Barbara and Belinda. Anton's father saved Blake's life during the war, and so they feel indebted to his family. Unfortunately, the family have unwittingly invited a satyr into their home, and on the first night of Anton's stay, whilst Beatrice is taking an evening stroll, she discovers him crouched over the lifeless body of one of the family's maids...
