Dr Agnew is just leaving the hospital where he works a s a surgeon when he is approached by a desperate boy called Angel Serafano, a boy form the ghetto. Angel forces Dr Agnew at gunpoint to come to his home to treat his poor mother who he believes is dying because they have no money for a doctor.
