Death Valley Days

Death Valley Days

This series features dramatizations of true western adventures written by New Yorker Ruth Cornwall Woodman. As a banker’s wife with two children, Woodman knew very little about life in the western states but, after making many trips to the desert, she was able to create one of the most respected dramas of early radio. The shows describe the ups and downs of pioneer life through the narrator, the Old Ranger, and despite title, format and actor changes Death Valley Days remains as popular as ever.
