Lamont Cranston and Margo are have been invited to the Barton’s house for the weekend along with Count Santo. Since they last saw the Bartons the Bartons had adopted a son named Skippy. Henry Barton had recently purchased a very precious diamond necklace known as the Harvey Diamond, which was being delivered to them that evening by Mr Knight. Some people believed that there was a curse attached to the diamond and when Mr Knight dies before leaving the house it may possibly be true.
