Dr Daniel Danfield and his secretary Rusty are driving through Death Valley and stop off at a hotel run by a manager who seems to be obsessed with Death. Some of the guests at the hotel are mighty strange and all become suspects when an artist is killed after refusing to sell one of his paintings.
