Dearest Enemy is a musical written by Rodgers and Hart of a story which takes place in 1776 during the American Civil War. 

Eileen Farrell sings the role of Betsy while Gordon McRae puts on the crimson coat and the white banderlear of Sir John Copland, Captain in the colonial army of his royal majesty King George the Third.
