Slate Shannon likes a young kid called Pauloand thinks he deserves a break. Paulo gets a job on Slates recommendation as a runner for a jewellers but the jeweller is not a good man and with a dishonest insurance investigator plans to frame Paulo with the theft of $100,000 of jewels, have him killed and claim on the insurance. Slate of course had faith in the boy and investigates deeper to clear his name.
