From the living room of a small house that has seen better days a single light shines in the early evening. Inside Grace Stenning waits alone for her father to come home. Anxiously lighting one cigarette from another she paces the floor until at last she hears his footsteps on the porch stairs. Her father had money worries and had been to Dr Tarleton’s to borrow some money. His daughter was against this, as she knew that Dr Tarleton had never liked her father since he took her mother away from him all those years ago. Her father told her that he had willed him his brain in exchange for the money. Grace was against this and contacted Dr Tarleton’s office straight away to cancel this agreement only to find that Dr Tarleton was dead.
