Larry Haines plays the part of Joe Lester a small time gambler plying a game out of his league. He has four aces in his hand and knows he can win but Barney Flood places $90,000 on the table so Lester can’t afford to see his hand. Barney offers him a deal he can afford, his life. He proposes to him that the man who loses the deal has to commit suicide.
