Down in San Rosario, Mexico, Juanita and her father run a cafe. One fine morning, an American named Lloyd Taylor arrives at the cafe to eat, and Juanita gets to telling him about the dam being built by the Americans nearby, and the trouble they're having. The Americans come to the cafe each day, and she's taken a shine to the newly appointed foreman on the site, Ray Grogan. At that moment, he and Mr Landon arrive at the cafe for breakfast, loudly disagreeing with one another on the shortage of skilled staff on the job, and the shoddy planning that has gone into the dam... It seems only natural that Mr Taylor should offer his services.
