Patsy has found that in the latest records on suicide they show that during the past six weeks 4 woman have committed suicide, each was a widow in her middle thirties with quite a bit of money and each case the police couldn’t find a single clue as to the reason for the suicide. Patsy tells Nick that she thinks there might be some connection to this epidemic of suicides. For the last suicide Nick Carter discovers that even though the windows were locked on the inside and no one went through the door the evidence shows that it wasn’t suicide and that it was murder.
