Craig's Wife

Craig's Wife

Broadcast: 12th May 1941
Added: May 13 2006
Cecil B. DeMille says that Craig’s Wife will probably remind all drama critics that women are unpredictable. Though the critics praised the drama when it opened on Broadway they all added wisely, “the women won’t like it” but the unpredictable ladies loved it. A few months later George Kelly’s play won Pulitzer Prize and then became a motion picture. In Lux’s radio version you will hear the same fine actress who played Craig’s wife on screen, Rosalind Russell. It is an honest play, the story of a woman who made the fatal mistake of letting love come second.
