The Lone Ranger and his Indian companion, Tonto, had pitched camp in the hills outside of the little town of Rimrock. A short distance from their campsite, desert land stretched out as far as the eye could see. It was just a little before sunset, and it was the sharp-eyed Tonto who interrupted their preparations for dinner, to let the Lone Ranger know what someone was staggering towards them. Roy - the man in a trooper's clothing -  was delirious with thirst, and it took until the following afternoon of nursing him before he began to talk. His father was the commandant of the nearby Fort Davis, but Roy couldn't seem to live up to his father's expectations of bravery...
