While in the barber’s shop Peter’s tell Matt that a couple of strangers were in yesterday and heard them say they were taking the Santa Fe to Wichita last night. They said there was a gambler there who was coming to Dodge on the Stage tomorrow. They also said that this Gambler was the biggest crook they’d ever known and could outsmart anyone. His name was Nick Smart and the Marshall used to be real good friends with him so he knew that he was handy with a gun.
