The Lone Ranger and his Indian companion, Tonto, had been on the trail of Morton and his gang of outlaws for some time. When they were sure he was about to strike at Fowlerville, they camped nearby, waiting until after dark and then calling on his old friend, Sheriff Brewster to warn him. His plans are always the same. He travels alone, and then meets up with his gang. They break up again after getting orders, and then drip into town one by one, until Morton gives the signal for ambush.
