"Sagebrush Sam", a Hollywood cowboy known in his private life as Sam Durant, is being announced to the baying crowds outside an auditorium, when he suddenly realises that he hates his life, and hordes of fans in particular. He gallops his horse away from the crowds, and on arriving home, decides to book himself a holiday, far, far, away. To Paris.
