Contemporary Christmas Carol, A

Contemporary Christmas Carol, A

Broadcast: December 24, 1949
Added: Jun 13 2001

As the show was broadcast on Christmas Eve 1949, Richard Diamond and his fellow partners decided that it would be a good idea to act out the story of Charles Dicken's Christmas Carol with Lieutenant Walter Levinson playing Ebenezer Scrooge, the  desk sergeant Otis Loveloon playing Jacob Marley, Johnny Rowans, the corner newsboy, plays Tiny Tim and his mother is played by Helen Asher, Diamonds redheaded girlfriend.

At the end of the story Dick Powel sings Kalikamaka. The show ends with the Christmas carol O Come All Ye Faithful.
