Matt Dillon had locked up 5 cowboys the previous night for been drunk and disorderly but the leader, Rance was not too happy about their “welcome”. He suggested that if Dodge wanted their business he had better let them so as they please. When the business men of Dodge get together they ask Matt Dillon to go easier on the cowboys for fear of loosing business, Matt Dillon warns them that they are being fools but agrees he won’t arrest anyone else in Dodge. A hard lesson is learnt by the businessmen of Dodge.
