When two women tangle, whether it's over a man or a job, there's no quarter given. When they tangle over both a man and a job, it's never a photo finish. It's a fight to the finish! As Jane Hayes and her husband, Bill, are flying east to a sales convention, Jane has little idea that what lies ahead of her is Command Performance. 

Bill has a hunch that since the sales manager in New York has just resigned, Mr Bixby, the head of the company, has invited the sales team and their wives to the meeting so that he can select a new sales manager. The position would be a very important one, so Bill wants to make sure that Jane makes a good impression.
