Come And Get It stars Edward Arnold in the lead role as Barney Glasgow the same role he played in Samuel Goldwyn’s 1936 screen production.

Other stars include Miss Anne Shirley as Lotta and Lew Ayres as Bernie. Also from the original 1936 movie are, Walter Brennan as Swan, Mary Nash as Emmie and Mady Christians as Swan's sister, Karie.

It is 1880 lumberman Barney Glasgow leaves his true love, saloon singer Lotta Morgan, to marry Emmie Hewitt, his boss's daughter. His buddy Swan marries Lotta instead. Twenty-five years pass and married to Hewitt’s daughter Barney Glasgow’s success was certain and his advancement rapid. He’s the head of the firm now. He is sad when he hears of the loss of Lotta and eventually goes to visit Swan when he meets Swan and Lotta’s daughter who is the spitting image of her mother. Barney still in love with her mother finds himself falling in love with the young Lotta but Lotta falls in love with Barney's son Bernie.
