Hidden in the wilds of the craggy Palisades stands the turreted castle of the European refugee reckless Heir Bruder. Here in solitude he gloats over the priceless treasures he has smuggled out of Europe. Lamont Cranston and Margo Lane are on the trail of a gang dealing in stolen art treasures. They pay a visit to the castle-like home of the eccentric refugee collector. As they try to get in the front door they hear a shot from within the house.
